About Novaly
Novaly is a catalogue. It helps you find a book, and tells you where to get the file.
Every entry lists the formats that exist, the file size, the language, and whether the download was working the last time it was checked. That last part is the point: a directory of links is only worth the share of its links that still resolve, so we measure it and publish the number on the stats page.
Novaly does not host the files. Each download opens on the service that stores it. We keep the catalogue, the covers and the search index.
How it works
- Search by title, author or subject. Multi-word searches match every word, and you can combine a search with a genre filter.
- The same book in PDF and EPUB appears once, with the formats offered on the card, instead of twice.
- Links are probed on a schedule. Anything confirmed working gets a Verified badge with the date; use the Working links only switch to hide the rest.
- If a download fails, the report button tells us. Enough reports flag the entry even when an automated check says it is fine.

There is nothing to sign up for. We count page views to know which pages matter and which searches come back empty, using a daily-rotating hash rather than a cookie or a stored IP address. See the privacy page for the detail.
