Copyright & DMCA
If you hold the rights to something listed here, tell us and it comes down.
Novaly is an index of material stored on third-party services. We do not host the files. We do control the catalogue entries, and we remove them on a valid notice.
Sending a notice
Email Not configured yet. Set CONTACT_EMAIL and DMCA_EMAIL in .env before this site goes public. with the subject line Copyright notice. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) a notice needs to include all of the following, or we may not be able to act on it:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The address of each catalogue page you want removed — the full URL, not a search result.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
- We acknowledge the notice.
- Entries covered by a complete notice are removed, normally within a few business days.
- We keep a record of the notice and of what was removed.
- We cannot remove the underlying file — it is held by another service, and a notice to them is separate.
Counter-notice
If your entry was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of what was removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was in error.
Repeat notices
Sources that generate repeated valid notices are excluded from future indexing.
Bad-faith notices
A person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). Please make sure the material really is yours before sending a notice.
